AFDP Workshop on Developing Corporate Bond Market in APEC Economies Held in SNAI
The AFDP Workshop on Developing Corporate Bond Market in APEC Economies was held on August 6-8, 2004, at Shanghai National Accounting Institute. There were more than 70 participants from 12 APEC economies and other countries, IFIs, and researching institutes attended this workshop.
Under the theme Developing Corporate Bond Market in APEC Economies, the workshop focused on issues of common concern in the region, such as corporate bond issuing mechanism, pricing mechanism, liquidity in the trading market, credit rating mechanism, creditor protection mechanism, secruritization and government?ˉs role in the development of corporate bond market. Experts from ADB, University of Hawaii, Reserve Bank of Australia, Korean Financial Supervisory Services, Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation and Moody?ˉs Asia Pacific were invited to address the workshop. 76 participants from ministry of finance, central banks, banking and securities regulatory authorities, other financial institutions from 12 economies in the APEC region attended the workshop.
