The AFDP 2004 Annual Forum was held on November 28, 2004 in Sanya
The APEC Finance and Development Program (AFDP) 2004 Annual Forum, organized by the Secretariat for AFDP, was held on November 28, 2004 in Sanya, Hainan Province, P. R. China.
The AFDP 2004 Annual Forum was under the theme of Financial System Reform: Efficiency and Stability. Included in the agenda are topics covering efficiency of financial institutions, financial supervision and regional cooperation. The Forum had generate a lively exchange of views and experiences that will contribute to policy thinking and lead to policy making on finance and development issues of interest to APEC members. This, in turn, will further contribute to the development of the Asia-Pacific region.
About 120 delegates have attended this forum, including senior officials from ministries of finance and central banks of APEC member economies, senior experts from the international financial institutions such as the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, renowned academicians in the fields of finance and economic development and representatives from other financial institutions.
