Shanghai DLC at the VC for GDLN Regional Technical Hub Services
Following the launch of the GDLN Regional Technical Hub Services by TDLC in the EAP region on March 16, TDLC organized a working level VC on Thursday 26th March to answer questions concerning the new services that TDLC could provide. In addition to Shanghai DLC, the DLCs joined the VC were Beijing, Bangkok, Dili, Canberra, Hanoi and representative from GDLN at Washington.
The VC was chaired by Lucy King, deputy director of TDLC. Iain, Technical Operations Officer at TDLC, first briefed on the new service provided by TDLC and then followed by an interactive Q&A session between TDLC and the DLCs with regard to the event booking procedures, billing, bridging and multimedia services.
The launch of the GDLN Regional Technical Hub Services by TDLC in the EAP region was an initiative resulted from the GDLN ASIA PACIFIC regional meeting in Hanoi in December 2008, aiming to “promote greater integration across all DLCs in the region and thereby enhance the capacity of the region as a whole for delivering effective products”.
