AFDC Delegation Participated in World Bank's Workshop and Visited Brookings Institution

On March 19-March 20, 2009, a delegation led by Mr. Yang Jinlin, Deputy Director General of AFDC Beijing Office, participated in a Global Peer-Learning Workshop held by the World Bank Institute (WBI) on "Turning Crises into Opportunities through Regulatory Reforms" to discuss improving the investment climate towards job creation and high quality growth. Mr. Yang delivered a speech named China's Strategies to Cope with Financial Crisis and the Rationality for the Chiang Mai Initiative. As a panelist, Mr. Yang also gave some comments at the closing session.
In addition to the workshop event, the delegation also visited Brookings Institution and held talks with Professor Ralph C. Bryant and Professor Collins Bradford respectively at its Global Economic & Development Center. The issues in their talks cover global financial crisis, Sino-US Strategic Economic Dialogue, G20 Summit and reforms at IMF and the World Bank.
