AFDC Delegation Visited the World Bank
At the invitation of the World Bank, Deputy Director-General of AFDC Dr. Li Kouqing, together with delegates from the Ministry of Finance, paid a visit to the Independent Evaluation Group (IEG) and the World Bank Institute (WBI) on May 6-8. During the three-day visit, AFDC reached a few agreements on issues, such as to jointly establish a regional center of development and evaluation in Asia with IEG, to mechanize cooperation with WBI and to jointly hold debt management workshop with Macro Policy Department.
The World Bank attaches great importance to the visit of the Chinese delegation. During the stay at Washington, the delegation was met by Vice President of the Bank and Director of IEG Vinod Thomas, Vice President of the Bank Mr. Sanjay Pradhan who is in charge of the WBI, and Director of the IEG Ms. Grey. The two sides held a frank discussion on many issues.
The visit was supported by the Chinese Executive Director’s Office at the World Bank.
