AFDC and World Bank Signed a Contract on 2010 EAP GDLN Sector Program
Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Center (AFDC) signed a contract with the World Bank Group on lead coordination to support the implementation of the 2010 EAP GDLN Sector Program: ‘China Sustainable Development AAA Dissemination and South-South Exchange’ on 29 March, 2010.
Under this program, AFDC is required to provide lead support for delivery of dissemination events addressing three specific topics, namely, Urban Rural Linkages, Sustainable Urban Transport Development and Strategy for Climate Resilient Cities.
Shanghai Distance Learning Center, affiliated to the AFDC, started bidding for the program in late 2009. In view of the AFDC’s experience in holding four virtual seminars on financial crisis in 2009, the Management of the World Bank’s East Asia and Pacific Region (EAP) approved the bid.
According to the contract, AFDC shall finish the program implementation before July, in collaboration with GDLN-AP and China Development Distance Learning Network.
