The Workshop on Implementing Financial System Regulatory Reforms in the Region Following the Global Financial Crisis opened successfully
On June 7, the workshop on Implementing Financial System Regulatory Reforms in the Region Following the Global Financial Crisis is opened in Shanghai, China. The workshop is jointly organized by the AFDC and the Melbourne APEC Finance Center (MAFC), with support from the Ministry of Finance of China, China Banking Regulatory Commission and the APEC secretariat.
Over 60 delegates from the region representing Chili, Mexico, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Australia, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Belarus attended the workshop. The workshop will last 6 days and discussions will center on financial regulation and risk management in the new context of the post-crisis era to provide solutions for the financial regulatory agencies in the Asia-Pacific region.
To benefit more people and engage more participants in the discussion, the workshop is also delivered via videoconferencing to the distance learning sites in Viet Nam, Mongolia and Sri Lanka.
