The Cambodia Ministry of Economy and Finance delegation visits AFDC
From May 23 to 25, a delegation of six Cambodian officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia visited AFDC to discuss potential cooperation between the two sides for the capacity building in the area of public financial management.
The delegation was led by Deputy Secretary-General Dr. Sean Sahib. According to him, Cambodia is now implementing a public financial management reform program. Thus, they are eager to learn from China’s lessons and experiences in this field in the hope of developing relevant knowledge and skills to inspire their own reform program.
Dr. Li Kouqing, Deputy Director-General of AFDC, together with some AFDC staff, met with the Cambodian delegation. During the meeting, an initial cooperation agreement was reached between the two sides, which entail holding one training program for Cambodian central government officials this June and arranging a site visit to the Chinese finance and taxation departments for Cambodian local government officials this September.
Following the visit to AFDC, the Cambodian delegates visited Shanghai Finance Bureau on the morning of May 24.
