This course attracted 32 participants from 18 nations and NGOs like UNICEF, World Bank, and Red Cross, etc. The 10-day course concentrated on how to use impact evaluation to enhance project devising, especially how to develop evaluation work and practice. This course was co-hosted by Prof. Paul Glewwe from University of Minnesota and Lead Economist Emmanuel Skoufias from the World Bank.
This course was an updated version of the Impact Evaluation course in March 2012. It was adapted to the needs of alumni feedbacks. It shed more focuses on how to scientifically evaluate the impact and influence of public projects, involved more exercises on the applications of statistic and quantitative tools, and introduced how to collect and process data.
