Workshop on Public Financial Management Reform: Experience of China held in Shanghai
Workshop on Public Financial Management Reform: Experience of China, which was co-organized by the Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Center (AFDC), Ministry of Finance of China and Economics and Finance Institute (EFI), Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia was held on March 24-28, 2014 in Shanghai, China.
Dr. Hean Sahib, Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia and Dr. LI Kouqing, General Director of AFDC jointly opened the training and delivered an opening speech respectively on behalf of the co-organizers of the training.
Mr. Hean Sahib, thanked AFDC for its great support of organizing Workshop on Public Financial Management Reform: Experience of China customized to cambodian finance officials. And he hopes we could provide more special trainings for Cambodian finance officials by AFDC and EFI cooperation platform under the supports of two countries’ ministry of finance.
Dr. LI Kouqing extended a warm welcome to all the participants from Cambodia, and hoped the two countries fiscal colleagues could learn from each other’s public financial development experience and to promote common progress.
About 30 participants from Ministry of Economy and Finance, and various provincial financial departments of Cambodia attended the training. The themes of this workshop include 8 topics, which are China’s Financial Reform, Public Expenditure Policy, Public Finance and Budgeting, China Financial Supervision, Intergovernmental Fiscal Relations, Public Procurement and Public Resource Mobilization.
During the workshop, AFDC also deeply discussed bilateral cooperation arrangements for the future with EFI.
