Training Course on Regional Economic and Financial Monitoring held at AFDC

12-23 May, the Training Course on Regional Economic and Financial Monitoring co-organized by Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Center (AFDC) was held at AFDC, Shanghai China. Dr. Junkyu LEE, Principal Economist, Office of Regional Economic Integration (OREI), ADB and Dr. Peng Runzhong, Director of AFDC attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Over 30 government officials and representatives from Asian countries and international institutions attended the training.

During this 2-week training, experts from ADB, National Bureau of Statistics of China and China Banking Regulatory Commission shared their knowledge and insights on the issues including macroeconomic analysis, financial sector stability, regulation and supervision, and vulnerability assessment. Participants also shared the experiences of economic development and financial regulations of their own countries.
