Financial Regulator’s Training Initiative--- Microfinance Activities Held in Shanghai
The Financial Regulator’s Training Initiatve—Microfinance Activities – Supervision, Regulation, Market Conduct and SME Lending (FRTI), jointly organized by AFDI, Asian Development Bank (ADB) and China Banking Regulatory Commission, was held in 1-5 December, in Shanghai National Accounting Institute. 40 participants from 14 economies in Asia Pacific region attended the workshop. Vice President Liu Qin of SNAI, Deputy Director General Ma Lixin of CBRC Shanghai Office, and Kuei Hua WU of ADB attended the opening ceremony.
During this workshop, 6 experts from Toronto Center and KCMI of South Korea delivered lectures and exchanged experience with participants in area like sound microfinance regulatory framework for effective supervision, on-site & off-site supervision, microfinance practice, and case studies in inclusive financing. Participants made presentations on policies and practices of their Representative nations.
On 5th December, President Li Kouqing, Director General Liao Min of CBRC Shanghai Office, and Deputy Director General Zhang Lixing of CBRC International Department attended the closing ceremony and awarded certificates to the participants.
