Enrollment Guide for Master Program in Professional Accounting

Program Overview

The Shanghai National Accounting Institute(Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute) launches the “Master of Professional Accounting Program for Developing Countries” authorized by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China to meet the demands for degree education in the region.The Program aims to provide Master Program in Professional Accounting to the young and mid-aged finance officials in the Asia-Pacific region. Qualified applicants will be awarded scholarships provided by the Chinese government.

The Shanghai National Accounting Institute (SNAI) is affiliated to the Ministry of Finance of the PRC. The SNAI has, over the years, sought to find pedagogy proper for senior financial and accounting professionals, and cultivate high-end talents for the accounting industry. SNAI has created its own unique teaching philosophy and methods underpinned by the three pillars of degree education, executive development program and distance education.

The SNAI attaches great importance to this top-level international degree program and is actively working to integrate resources at home and abroad to train finance elites with international perspective in a hope to better contribute to the finance capacity building in the region.

The programs features are as follows: 1) Meticulous planning as well as international operation and management. The program features good teaching planning, strict curriculum organization and professional management conforming to international practices, which ensure the knowledge acquired could help the participants adapt to the needs of the development; 2) The program introduces a new learning model which emphasizes both theoretical and practical knowledge. English is used as the language of instruction. Classes will incorporate a mix of lectures, case discussions, simulations, and field visits; 3) The program integrates international experience and regional practice to promote regional development. The World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the International Accounting Standards Board, ACCA as well as CIMA, etc. will provide strong support to the Program and build the international capacity building platform together with AFDI. 

 

The scholarship will cover the following:

1. Tuition fees

2. Monthly subsidy (3000 RMB/month)

3. Field Study expenses(accommodation, transportation, etc)

4. Accommodation in a single-bedroom(with separate bathroom) in the student dormitory on campus

5. At least one-time round trip air tickets

6. Medical insurance(basic coverage including accidental injury, hospitalization, etc. excluding dental, eye care and others)
