Workshop on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for CAREC Member Countries held in AFDI

From 27 June to 1 July, Workshop on Public Private Partnership (PPP) which is co-organized by the Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute (AFDI), CAREC Institute and China PPP Center, Ministry of Finance, China is held at AFDI. Dr. Li Kouqing, Director-General of AFDI, and Mr. Yergali Dosmagambet, Deputy Director of CAREC Institute attended the opening ceremony and delivered opening remarks respectively on behalf of the co-organizers of the workshop. The workshop attracted about 30 participants from CAREC member countries.

During this 5-day training, experts from Cities Development Initiative for Asia (CDIA), China PPP Center, Ministry of Transport of China, Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau shared their knowledge and insights on the issues including the basic knowledge of PPP, an overview of Chinese enterprises’ participation in overseas infrastructure projects, and as well as the PPP development in China and in Shanghai. Participants also visited the Shanghai Huadian Xinzhuang Industrial Park CCHP PPP project.
