From 15 to 18 August, Workshop on Development Evaluation co-organized by the Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute (AFDI), CAREC Institute and Asian Development Bank, is held at AFDI. Dr. Peng Runzhong, Director of AFDI, and Mr. Yergali Dosmagambet, Deputy Director of CAREC Institute attended the opening ceremony and delivered opening remarks respectively on behalf of the co-organizers of the workshop. The workshop attracted about 20 participants from CAREC member countries.

During this 4-day training, experts from George Washington University, USA, Seoul National University, South Korea, Shanghai Municipal Finance Bureau shared their knowledge and insights on the issues including the basic knowledge of Development Evaluation, an overview of Development Evaluation theories, and as well as the international and local practice. Participants also visited the Shanghai Mengqing Garden project on water rehabilitation of the Suzhou Creek.
