Special Economic Zones (SEZs) Training held in SNAI
Special Economic Zones (SEZs) as catalysts for Economic Corridors, Value Chains and Production Network Training was held in SNAI from September 25th to 29th. This training, co-organized by SNAI (AFDI) and Asian Development Bank, attracted 29 participants from public sectors of China, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and other ASEAN countries.
This training provided participants with both theoretical and practical knowledge on SEZs, covering topics of strategy building and policy design of SEZs, implementation of the SEZs policies, SEZs experiences of GMS countries and case study of SEZs in China. To deepen the understanding of the SEZs development in China, participants paid field visit to the Shanghai Pudong Development Zone and Shanghai Free Trade Zone, and exchanged views with the experts on Chinese experience and practices in developing SEZs.
