President Li Kouqing visited the Asian Development Bank
From December 6 to 8, an AFDI delegation headed by Li Kouqing, President of Shanghai national Accounting Institute and the Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute visited ADB's headquarters in Manila, the Philippines.
16 meetings were held during the three-day tight schedule visit. President Li along with delegation had visited Mr. Zhang Wencai, Vice President of ADB, and Mr. Cheng Zhijun, Board of Director of PR. China in ADB. In addition, the delegation held meetings with East Asian Department, Independent Evaluation Department, Southeast Asia Department, South Asia Department, Central and Western Asia Department, Economic Research and Regional Cooperation Department, Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department and other departments respectively. During the meetings, AFDI delegation and ADB’s departments reviewed the progress of cooperation in terms of regional knowledge sharing and capacity-building in 2017, and reached a consensus on further strengthening and expanding cooperation. Two parities initially identified the specific plans for many research and capacity-building cooperation in 2018, which including development evaluation, economic corridor and special economic zone development, green bonds and state-owned corporate governance.
During the visiting period, the delegation also visited the Asian Institute of Management in Manila. The two parties shared experiences on the operation and management of their application-oriented master degree programs and explored the fields for possible cooperation in the futures.
