SEZ Training held by AFDI and ADB
The Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Institute (AFDI) co-organized the “Special Economic Zones (SEZs) as Catalysts for Economic Corridors, Value Chains and Production Networks Training” with the East Asia Regional Department of Asian Development Bank (ADB) from 25 to 29 March 2019 in Shanghai National Accounting Institute, Shanghai, China.
More than 20 government officials from South East Asia, such as Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia, attended the training workshop. Participants shared development experience of SEZ in their respective countries, and learned from China’s successful experience and latest development of SEZ model-Pilot Free Trade Zone. As the fourth co-organized SEZ workshop by AFDI and EARD, ADB, the event has provided a regional platform for knowledge sharing and capacity building in the development of SEZs.
