My experience in China
1. a) Where are you from? I am from Venezuela
b) Which organization do you work for before coming to China? Ministry of People's Power of Ecological Mining Development.
c) How would you describe your country in one sentence? Venezuela is a beautiful country with hospitable people
2. a) Why did you choose China as the destination for studying? Since I was 15 years old I have been influenced by Chinese culture, gastronomy and language. My mother told me to learn the language from that age, because according to her vision and thought at that time (1994/1995) "The Chinese language is going to be the English of the future", and yes, now in 2023 I tell you my daughter 15 years old who must study and learn about it, he is studying the 2nd level at the Confucius Institute, because the future is already here, Mandarin Chinese becomes the new most spoken language in the world. In addition, I came to China in 2017, for a training on non-ferrous metals for developing countries, thanks to MOFCOM and the Chinese government with the bilateral agreement between China and Venezuela, in that training we learned a lot about mining processes, finance in mining processes They visited and learned about the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park in Hunan province, Guangzhou in Guangdong province was also visited, a gold mine was attended as part of the training.
b) Why SNAI? motivated me to graduate as a public accountant in my country of origin, and SNAI is the most prestigious in the accounting sector worldwide.
3. a) Could you share the difficulties or challenges faced during your studying? The challenges faced were adaptation to the climate of the city based on the fact that in Venezuela we do not have the 4 seasons, the climate is tropical, it is usually sunny and it rains some days, however the cold levels are not that low.
b) How did you solve the problems or challenges? wearing warm clothing, maintaining good hydration on the skin, hands and lips to avoid cracking, and enjoying the new experience in the most positive way possible
c) What’s your feelings or takeaways from the experience of learning and living at SNAI? It is the best and most pleasant experience lived so far, I have met attentive people, the teachers are of the highest quality and professionalism, meet colleagues of other nationalities, and the city that I fall in love with every day for its cosmopolitan shape and with its impressive Pearl Tower.
