My name is Lo Hong, from Cambodia. I work at the National Bank of Cambodia. Cambodia is a Southeast Asia country known for its ancient temples, beautiful beaches, and vibrant culture. Cambodians are very welcoming and have a warm smile in Asia.

I have chosen China as a destination for my master degree come with my life’s experienced. Since I was young, I have learnt a lots from Chinese’s culture, art and language. Furthermore, I strongly believed that, China is the land of the opportunity with strong and prosperity growth of economy. Thus, I expect that I could learn from China’s experienced to develop my country. Applying for Shanghai National Accounting Institute is not a coincidence. It comes directly from my working experienced that drive my passion with the banking and financial sector. By saying this, the field of study will equip me knowledge, skill and attitude to compliment my experience in financial sector. Last but not least, the knowledge will help fulfil my long-term career goals. I am optimistic that the chosen field best responds to the current and future of accounting and financial development in Cambodia.

I have found some challenging during my studying. First, I have been through many tasks such as; individual or group assignments, presentations, homework, exams and course papers. All the requirements need to  be completed to pass those courses. I found them so difficult to the language barriers and foundation of difference courses. Second, the culture that in some ways is different from the one I grew up. Last but not least, communicating when travelled to different places. I have found some problems when using the public transportations.

Besides the difficulties, to overcome and make a studying progress. I have determined myself in five following disciplines;

1. Pre-learning, I read and take notes before the chapter starting.

2. Concentrating and following the instructions of the professors

3. Managing time efficiency by list down for what we will do next and after

4. Self-improving by communicate, and sharing knowledge between classmates and instructors.

5.  Commitment and motivation are the key to overcome all the obstacles.

In Conclude, I am feeling proud as one of SNAI’s family. I am delighted to thank the Chinese government, MOFCOM and SNAI for this great opportunity. This field of study not only improving my knowledge but this help me to fulfil  my long-term plan. Moreover, I will employ the tools and best practices to develop my capacity more efficient. I will share my knowledge to young generation and create a new environment in my working place by put values and places the common interest on top.
