Class 2024 international students participated in a lecture studying 'Three Decades of China's Capital Market
On the morning of April 25, Dr. Ye Chunhe, an adjunct professor at our institute, delivered a lecture titled "Three Decades of China's Capital Market: The Developmental Journey from Inception to Modernization" for the 2024 international student cohort. The lecture was hosted by Sahand Salar Hama, a 2024 international student from Iraq.
The lecture covered eight key aspects: an overview of China's capital market development, the evolution of the stock issuance and listing system, the construction of a multi-tiered equity market, institutional investors in the capital market, the two-way opening of the capital market, the legal framework of the capital market, the regulatory system of the capital market, and future prospects for its development. This provided the international students with a valuable opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the developmental journey of China's modern capital market with distinctive characteristics.
The International Education Center plans to organize a visit for the international students to the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the China Financial Futures Exchange. This initiative aims to further enhance their understanding of the capital market and offer them a more vivid and immersive experience of the fruitful achievements in China's financial development.
